Mission
The Archives Office was established in 1973 to gather, arrange,
and safeguard documents that pertain to the spiritual and temporal affairs of
the Archdiocese of Denver. It serves as a depository of parish sacramental registries.
Archives staff assists parish personnel in recording and preserving parish sacramental
records and other archival materials.
Collection
The Archives collection contains baptismal, confirmation,
marriage and death registries for every Catholic Church within the Archdiocese
of Denver; parish histories including some anniversary books; institutional
information on Denver Catholic Charities, Catholic schools and Catholic hospitals;
corporate information on orders of priests and nuns who served the Archdiocese
throughout history.
